The "Cary Serbo-Croatian Language Meetup" has been renamed "Friends of Former Yugoslavia- Triangle NC" to be more inclusive and representative of our now fairly large group. We are meeting every third Wednesday at 6PM at Fresca Cafe in Cary. Welcome all- we have a great time, and also have smaller groups, and a band!
Friends of Former Yugoslavia Meetup - Triangle Area, NC (Cary, NC) - Meetup
(The website link is still the old name! But welcome Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Macedonian, Slovenian, American, Italian, Romanian... anyone who is from or is interested in the culture, language, food, and people of Former Yugoslavia!)

We have friends from Duluth, MN visiting us next week who grew up in Bosnia. Are there restaurants, grocery stores, ?? in the area where we could find the food they grew up with?

Thanks a million.

A&S International Market in Cary sells products from Former Yugoslavia. And if there is a meetup while they are here, bring them by!

I live in Topsail Beach North Carolina. I grew up immersed in the Croatian culture. I performed with the Sloga Tamburitzans Farrell Pennsylvania, from when I was just a child. I absolutely love the Croatian cultureand would love to get back in touch with my Croatian bretherin. I miss it so much. If any of you are in the coastal North Carolina area, please add to this thread and let me know where. I would love to get together and just hang out with my family and yours. Maybe have a good old Croatian family gathering tamburitza music and dancing. Adam Fister (Zalich\Puskar).

Hi guys, fellow ex-yugo here
We live in Chicago, IL but due to the cold/harsh winters thinking of moving somewhere with warmer climate.
How do you guys like NC?
How's the job market down there?

Feel free to IM me as well.

I joined the meetup too.
