Cary has the Del Webb Carolina Preserve.

Are there any active adult communities (e.g. 55+) in Raleigh, North Raleigh, Wake Forest or the northern part of Wake County?

Thanks much,

Logman

Hey logman, there are a couple active adult communities in Raleigh, NC. Check out Ivy Hall or you could also take a look at the Regency at Brier Creek in Raleigh. Brier Creek is not age-restricted but the Regency neighborhood is very age-targeted. The homes and lifestyle are geared towards mature adults. Good luck!

Hello Logman. You are looking in a good area for active adult communities. In Raleigh you might want to check out Bedford at Falls River, a new urban style community. Apex might be another choice, with Orchard Villas. Good luck, there are many choices.

I believe the 'Active Adult' section of Regency at Brier Creek is in Durham county. Not a very significant factor, except for the higher property taxes.

Last Week the Triangle Business Journal reported that Pulte will build another Del Webb "55 and Better" community like Carolina Preserve, in Durham County, just north of the Brier Creek area.

Wasn't there a 55+ Active Adult Community in Youngsville???

I just can't remember. If you stop by the grocery store and pick up one of the "New Home Guides", in the front of the magazine, you'll see 55+ Active Adult Communities.
