IMO, Choke and Puke....errrr......Steak and Shake was only good to 3am after the club. I can't believe it took so long for the place to close and am surprised the one in MiniCity is still open.
I stopped going to any of them a long time ago. It's basically fast food.... with extremely slow service. Sometimes the shakes would come after we were done eating the meal. Or it'd take 45 minutes for burgers and fries. No joke. Horrible, horrible service. HORRIBLE.
I loooove Steak N Shake but the one in N. Raleigh is gross and poor service .
I am no food critic and have only ever been to the former WF Steak N Bake one time but the above answer may just sum it up the best on why it closed.
Restaurants have a unique business model in the fact that they not only have to look good but they have to taste good too! Not many business have to do both to be successful!

That about sums up my experience at both WF and Millbrook.
Now... waiting 45 minutes for a 5 Guys burger just might be bearable.
I didn't know the Steak & Shake in WF closed. :-( We like Steak & Shake (we're from the town where it began) but maybe they couldn't compete with Andy's? Andy's is the local chain and they are in that strip right across from S&S. We thought it was strange when S&S went in there.
Give Andy's a try--it's not the same but it's good.
