Hi,

I noticed that the Circuit City in Beaver Creek inApex had their front being redone, and that (from this forum) its going to be a Kirklands.

I also noticed the new Hobby Store going in Apex by Five Below.

I've also seen some recent work being done to the old Loop location on 55 / High House, and some work appears to be starting at the old Kroger location next to it.

So naturally, I'm curious as to what is going in to those two spots, since they are down the road from me.

Thus this thread, does anyone have any good links to local businesses that are opening and closing in our area? For Apex, sometimes the local engineering pdf available from the gov site has info (like on the new Toyota dealership that is opening on 64).

Anyone have a comprehensive link? Or maybe a thread that just keeps track of what people find out in the area?

I don't have a comprehensive link, but I've found Sue Stock's Retailing column in the N&O helpful. She also does a Taking Stock blog for them. It used to be a lot more helpful on that sort of thing than lately though. I don't even check it regularly (partly because of lack of updates, and partly because the area near me has slowed down in how much new stuff is opening).

I'll also sometimes check out town planning meetings at their town gov websites. You mention engineering pdf, and that probably is along the same lines.

Aside from here, the N&O, Triangle Buisiness Journal and the various municipal websites, thats pretty much it.
