Correct!

It can get very cold here (think 0) but not too often.

A few years ago, we had one heck of an ice storm. A week of black ice on roads and parking lots.

It's very southern here today. My last home before Raleigh (came in 1989) was New Orleans - now that's icky.

Hey Saturnfan and all! Talk about icky...I currently live the Savannah, Ga area and there are only two seasons here...hot and humid. We do get some nippy weather in Jan. and Feb. and that time of year is what I call our roller coaster weather. It gets cold, gradually warms up and then rains. The cycle then repeats.
I will hopefully be moving up there in the near future and look forward to some seasonal changes. How is the humidity there? I'm sure it can get hot in the summer but it can't possibly feel like living in a swampy suana like it does here most of the year.

Pretty humid last two weeks - nothing like New Orleans.
