Interesting. WRAL is saying that this morning their models were saying a good amount if snow but now they are saying the storm will go so far south it won't bring much here at all.
"This is likely to be a two-loafer," Mancuso added.
Mark was referring to the typical rush on bread (and milk) at grocery stores that occurs when a snowstorm threatens the South. "One loaf for the storm, add a second since it is threatening on Christmas," He said.
If they run out of bread you can always make his incredibly awesome (and crazy easy) loaf. All you need is a pot like a dutch oven or something similar! Tastes just like a French "boule."
And the latest Euro model appear to absolutely bury central GA. It looks like it may track more to the west, which may mean east of 95...maybe even into Raleigh, might not see all snow with this.
This storm could potentially re-write some understandings, basically that large storms don't happen during strong La Nina's. January is looking colder on the 12z GFS - and earlier runs as well. Looks like a block tries reform late in the period. If that happens, all bets are off for this winter.
The NBC17 morning weatherman was foaming at the mouth at the prospect of 6 inches of snow on Saturday afternoon
