So I need to add two local "micro" roasters to the list:

Boogie Bean Coffee Company out of Holly Springs: Boogie Bean Coffee Website

Red Rooster Coffee Company out of Wake Forest: Red Rooster Website

Don't forget about Cup A Joe! It is an institution and frequented by NCSU professors, politicians, hipsters, etc. Their coffee is great and they have many different varieties available and they have a customer loyalty rewards card.

Cup A Joe

Thanks for the reminder! I keep forgetting Cup A Joe roasts their own coffee beans. I need to get over there and check it out!

Cup-a-Joe is pretty gross these days imo. I feel like they need to just hose the entire store down in bleach.

There's a new bakery in Cary that serves Boogie Bean and I have to say it was surprisingly good. Only downside is that cafe has really strange hours. Kind of hard to get coffee on the way to work if you don't open until 9am!

I drink counter culture a lot since that is the brand served at saladelia in Durham. I've also drank a lot of Larry's beans. Taylor's BP house blend is delicious ad well as most of their other blends.
