Parents, teachers and locals of the areas these elementary schools are in - I am looking for any information on these schools. All information is greatly valued thank you so much!

Forest Pines - I have friends who have kids there (right now it is in a mobile classroom in the dubois center area of wake forest) and they love it. They have said the teachers are wonderful, and the classes size is small. Now, the controversy over this was that the school is being built near wakefield and because it was not finished in time it has now been in a mobile campus in a part of wake forest that is not as wealthy as wakefield. Some parents completely freaked out about this and then pulled their kids out of the school before they had even attended. This is why the student population was low. As I said, my friends have really loved it.
The "real" school is going to be done for the fall, and it is located on forest pines drive in wakefield, it is a traditional calendar. It is on the same campus as north forest pines elementary, which is a year round school. (also a new school).
Leighbhe - thank you so much for the information on Forest Pines. Is this a good area of Wake Forest? I am not familiar with this area of Wake County at all but they have posted openings for teachers next fall and as a new school I guess the information will be limited. However - I would like to know about the neighborhood the school is in etc. Is this far from Raleigh? or at least North Raleigh?

North forest pines and forest pines are on southern portion of wake forest. They are close to wakefield plantation (you can look that up and find tons of factoids, it is technically in raleigh, but a huge neighborhood with apartments and million dollar homes and a golf course). The schools sit across the street (large street on their own private road) from wakefield commons shopping center (grocery store, restaurants, etc
The closest cross street is captial blvd (also called US 1) and new falls of neuse. There really isn't a bad area of wake forest. I am not saying that to paint a pretty picture either. Honestly, there are some areas that are poorer than others, but as far as violent crime, or gangs, it is not something I have heard about in wake forest. Wake forest runs on either side of US1 from just about that intersection where the schools are for about 7 miles, at most.
Anyhow, let me know if you have other questions. I have heard from my friends that they really like the principal and teachers at forest pines.
Teacher719 - I am currently visiting in Raleigh and have an early contract with Wake County. I know they are currently on a hiring freeze, however not for early contracts. I did apply to Forest Pines about a month ago - but I am trying to get as many interviews as possible while I am here. If you have any information please let me know thank you!
I am planning on moving to NC asap. Some of the houses we are looking at have Forest Pines as their base school. I have two special needs children. Does anyone know about the special education programs, any opinions or comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks
