I am from Michigan and recently applied to Raleigh NC police academy. Just wondering if anyone (preferably Raleigh officers) could tell me anything about the department: academy, training, pay, benefits, morale, take home car program, cost of living, weather, and why 80 officers have left the last two years.
I have tested in Aurora, Co and would like to move there. Is Raleigh a good department to work for? Thank you for looking.
wolfclub-I'm about to apply for BLET at the local community college and am pretty curious about all the things tubbsd listed. Anyway you can shoot me a PM about those things? Thhanks!
As an active community resident, I've never dealt with a more attentive and pleasant police force. I'm sure they have their issues, but it's light years better than anywhere else I've lived.
I have had the same experience with the Raleigh police. I think of them all as heroes.
