The Independent is probably the first place I'd look. I make a point to pick up the print edition every week (they are free).

Do you mean rock concerts, or choral/classical concerts?

Triangle Sings is a good website for local choral groups.

Classical Voice NC also has such listings.

Edited to add: Just remembered Craig's List has an Events/calendar section that you can search with keywords (i.e. "concert").
