a lot would depend on what that single woman enjoyed doing. perhaps you could elaborate & people could give you more feedback then?

Look at the City-Data page for each town...it shows exactly what the ratio of men to women is, including demographics about level of education.

How big a "town"? Mountains or beach? Liberal or conservative? Close to a certain city or not? Where will you be working?

NC has hundreds of "towns"--you'll need to narrow down your criteria for scuh a question.
