I know it's a shot in the dark; however, does anyone know of any places that rent a snowmobiles in Raleigh?
With the possibility of some good snow next week, I'd love to ride around and am not particular about brand (polaris, ski-doo, yamaha, kitty kat, etc.)
If nothing turns up in Google, I'm going to say no. We rarely get enough snow to support snowmobiles. It would take years, if not decades to recoup the costs. The amount of snow and even just the chances of snow this year is out of character for the area.

Thanks for the laugh!
I don't know that I've ever seen a snowmobile in Raleigh! You may have to take a drive up to the mountains for that ride. Sounds like fun, though!
Any guess on where they are from? FL or TX - somewhere where they don't get much snow (like us). Francois..now you didn't think to recommend snow skis...we have seen folks use these during past snow episodes.
I've lived here for ~11 years. While the relocated Yankees say the snow we receive is not too much, I've been surprised in finding we usually receive one nice storm a year (yes, some years have none).
While my inquiry is a shot in the dark, I did notice snowmobile tracks (northern redneck tracks for ya'll) after last snowfall...it made me pine to get on one and come close to death.
