FYI - As a former CD moderator of another forum, I can tell you with certainty that the moderator of this forum is not from Garner and does their best to be as fair as possible. Mods edit and delete according to the rules of the forum..not whether they like, dislike, or are offended by a post. I may actually recall some details of your original post or a least one similar? Garner, like many places around here is changing by the year as new residents move in. Living in one side of town your experience might be different than the other side of town.
As for safety, Cary/Apex have had their share of issues lately, including robbery and murder. Generally speaking, most of the triangle is a safe place with small, and getting smaller, unsafe places.

While living in Garner my home was burglarized, vandalized, and my
neighborhood was so loud at night I could not sleep. By loud
I mean kids staying up all nite plain basketball, yelling, screaming, and cursing. Cars drove by all hours of the night with the bass so loud it rattled the windows. All of this was common occurrence for
The entire 2 years I lived there. I had to call the police multiple times and the HoA did nothing. The subdivision is Tryon Place at the intersection of Tryon Rd and Old Garner Rd. This is an accurate portrayal of my experience with Garner and is why I will never ever recommend it to anyone. I moved here in 2006 and would have benefitted greatly from a review like this before I purchased a home in Garner. Instead I was left footing the bill for a home I had to sell at a loss to get out of this nightmare of a situation. Sorry if this comes off as rude but this was my honest-to-God experience in GARNER.

Live and learn
I feel your pain Ukfan but what I learned is that you must check out a neighborhood and different times of the day and night over a period of time. We live and learn and what doesnt kill us will make us stonger!
