We've hit both high-end and low-end (Wal-Mart) places for glasses, and have been uniformly disappointed with the cheaper places. Coming up time to renew our prescriptions again, and was wondering if anyone had good experiences with both exams and lenses around here.

I've been buying my glasses and contacts at Costco for years and have been pleased with both the quality and price.

After reviewing options in the Triangle area, I use Zenni Optical - Eyeglasses, Prescription Glasses, Bifocal, Progressive Eyeglasses, Rimless Glasses You have to do a little of the work yourself -- entering your prescription into an online form -- but their selection, their prices, their quality, and customer service are all WONDERFUL.

I like Eye Care Associates in Wakefield. I have never had to wait long and they are helpful in choosing new frames.

My family always uses our insurance EyeMed benefits at Optometric Eye Care in North Ral. For almost 20yrs now. Great service and we love Dr Bedsole and Don! Nice selection of frames and reasonable costs too.

Also, we get our 2nd pairs at both Costco and ZenniOptical.com for the last 5-8yrs. Good experiences with both.
