I've heard that NC doesn't offer much in the way of public transportation...I'll be moving to N. Raleigh next month & won't have a car right away...Can any one give me insight as how to get around (apart from taking a taxi or walking everywhere) I'll be living off of Six Forks Road...Are there any bus lines that travel that road....Also my daughter will be attending Sanderson High...I thought I read some where that all schools have buses that pick up kids at certain stops, how true is this????

If your home is more then a certain distance from teh school, yes, there is bus transportation. I would call the schools' transportation office and ask if your area is covered. This web site should have where you can call to find out as well as basic information. WCPSS: School Bus Transportation

There is bus service on Six Forks, but you'd have to look closely at the maps to see if it will get you where you need to go.
