What can a mom do during the day when the kids are in school? I have looked at snag a job & careerbulders among others & just cannot find anything that can work where I can still be home by 3 for the kids. (No work at home scams) Any suggestions please? Thanks!

You could substitute as an aide in the schools? or be a substitute teacher if qualified?

I hear ya, I have had to pass on many jobs due to child care.

My cousin actually does the work from home with Arise. It's a legit company. I saw it first last year on Good Morning America. She's off everyday in time to pick her daughter up from Elementary School.

Here is the Youtube clip from GMA

Are you interested in providing childcare in your home? or in other people's homes? You could also clean, get a part-time job in a library or school, or get a job working part-time as a church secretary.

What are your skills, interests, qualifications?

I have a B.S. in finance & worked in the financial field in NYC for 10 years before I left when my 2nd child was born. When my youngest started kindegarden I worked retail but it was very easy to get a job in NY at that time.

We moved here & I have applied to retails shops but all want weekends (which was not required in NY) . I did apply for a sub at the school but that hasn't come through yet. My church doesn't need anyone but I like that idea & will check other churches in my area.
