This is one of the things I love about living here in the Triangle. I can actually see the moon 12 months of the year! That's a novel idea in Oregon. Tonight it looks straight from a magical children's book. Sigh!

I hope you all get to gander at it through a window or better yet, enjoy a brisk moon lite walk!

Happy moon beams!

I agree.

It was spectacular as it was rising over fall's lake.

I'm glad you posted this! I was thinking the same exact thing. I was driving home from work at around 4:30 this evening and caught a glimpse of the moon while it was still somewhat light out. I have never in my entire life seen the moon looking so BIG and close to the earth.

It was just over the horizon and it looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. Seriously, I've never seen the moon look that big before. I wish I had my camera on me at the time and the skills to take a quality picture in that lighting.

I noticed it rising over Cary about 5:20 pm tonight. It was so gorgeous that I called a friend out in Portland and told him to go outside in three hours to check it out.
