Does anyone have experience or have information about football programs in Clayton or surrounding areas? My 10 year old starts football up north in 2 weeks, and if things happen quickly, we may be in NC before the end of football season. Of course, that is wishful thinking on my part. If anyone is directly involved with the program....how are the different squads set up? What are the weight limits? Are the programs fun for the kids or are we talking pro-football? If my son is attending Polenta in Garner but lives in Clayton, where would he play? Thank you for any and all info. Jeannie

Hi Jeannie!
I think the Town of Clayton is the place to check in for that. Check out their website or call them directly, they can refer you in the right direction.

With Polenta being your base school here are a few sports options.

Football- Cleveland Pop Warner Football-(If you google it just like I wrote it, it will be the first thing to come up)- They also have cheerleading and dance if you need it

Soccer/Basketball/Baseball- Greater Cleveland Athletic Association-(They also have a website, if you google the name)

Good luck!

Thank you! My son would be at Cleveland Middle School the following year. Does the info pretty much stay the same?

Polenta is closer to Smithfield than either Garner or Clayton....the Cleveland area is a no-man's land with nothing really to call their own (not even a name everyone commonly uses).
