I get mine at the fishing pier @ Wrightsville Beach.

Actually, I saw octopi (is that the plural of octopus??) at an new Italian market in Lafayette Village. Can't remember it's name but should be easy to find since there aren't many stored open there yet.

I love calamari. The best I had was at a small Thai restaurant in Greensboro by the convention center. So I will be trying to hit up the Thai restuarant suggestion above.

If you're making it at home, you should be able to purchase fresh at Grand Asia Market, as well as some of the nicer Harris Teeters (maybe?). If you need recipes, go to the food forum here on CD, they are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable foodies over there.
