What ribs places are there in North Raleigh/Wake Forest? I know about Shane's by Triangle Town Center, Chili's, Q-Shack at North Hills and Red Hot & Blue. What else is out there? I still miss O'Brien's Rib Shack in Mini City--we used to love getting take out from there.

The BEST ribs I have ever had in this area were at Bahama Breeze on Wake Forest across from Duke Raleigh hospital. I've had them several times there and they are always excellent.

I miss O'Brien's as well!

Red Hot & Blue now has baby back ribs! I got them the other day, along with their onion loaf and it reminded me VERY MUCH of O'Brien's! I got them with the "sweet" sauce. Very similar to O'Brien's.

I never understood why the O'Brien's on Glenwood closed. There used to be a 2 hour wait to get in there on the weekends.

Not really N Raleigh, but folks I work with really like the ribs at the Pit. Haven't tried them myself.

In N Raleigh the Angus Barn actually had pretty good ribs too. I think they still offer them in a combo so you can get a filet and ribs.

If you want the ribs, and not so much the restaurant, Harris Teeter's deli slow-cooks ribs and puts them in their display cart out in the middle of the store, on sale, every Saturday. I've had them twice and both times they were fantastic.
That would probably save a bunch of $$$ too, so you could afford to get some of their potato salad on the side.

I second this suggestion...they are fully cooked and on Saturday they are only $7.99 for the rack.

A huge second on this suggestion! Always a winner at our house!

Woops! Someone already seconded, so I'll third it!
