I may be moving down with my kids from South Jersey and we love the beach, which is only 10 minutes from our house now. I will miss that in NC, but wondered if there are some nice places to swim, water parks, etc. that we would enjoy?

THanks.

I believe there is a pool in Optimist Park in North Raleigh. I've never been, but it might be worth looking into.

There are quite a few Raleigh Public Pools, maintained by the Parks and Rec.

The pool at Optimist and the pool at Millbrook Exchange have covers so they are open in the colder months. There is a charge for these pools.

There is an Aquatic Center in Morrisville...may have a Cary address.

When you are up for a short road trip, Carowinds (in Charlotte) has a small water park, Boomerang Bay.
