My family is going with 4 other families to Morrow Mountain this Spring. We'll be camping at one of the group sites. What activities do you recommend doing while we are there?

Mainly outdoor activities hiking, swimming. There are fun 4 wheeling paths in Uwharrie. Charlotte (plenty to do) or asheboro (NC Zoo) are about 1-1hr 15 minutes away

There is a VERY small museum there, describing the flora and fauna of the area. Should take you 30 minutes max.

Plenty of hiking trails

In addition to 4-wheeling trails, there are lots of MTB trails just outside the park, in case anyone wants to bring their mountain bikes.

I just booked a family cabin there for the weekend of April 22nd. We wanted to go to Hanging Rock (since we just went to Morrow Mtn in the fall) but they were booked up.
