Hi all,
Hope to visit the area next week! I will be bringing my two kids, ages 16 and 6, and I am looking for some inexpensive ways to entertain them while we are in the area. We will be staying in Smithfield, but hope to relocate to Clayton in about a year and a half. Any ideas within about an hours drive would be most appreciated!!!!
Thanks much.

In about a year and half, I will be selling my house in Clayton Interested?? :-)

I would probably go to downtown Raleigh, some museums for the younger (marbles) and the older might enjoy it too (imax theater).

Museum of natural science in downtown Raleigh is free as is the art museum I think. Lots of outdoor playgrounds in the area as well. Have fun!

Thanks to all of you. We were not able to go, but this information will be helpful if we can manage a visit in April.
