I live about 2 miles north of Brighton Forest. Can't give you specifics on the neighborhood, but I can answer questions about the area.

I love that neighborhood - I haven't seen another neighborhood around here quite like it.

To add - great location, short drive to Garner, Cary (Walnut St), downtown Raleigh. Will be very handy to 540 extension, if that ever goes through.

The only thing about it is that it is kind of a neighborhood without a town. Technically it is Fuquay but it is really closer to south Cary and Holly Springs, and it has an Apex address! I would be concerned about getting shuffled around the Wake County schools a little also - but I have no idea if BF has been effected by re-districting.

I am very interested in what High School it feeds into....I have a son that will be a Sophomore in high school.

I am also looking for a safe neighborhood with teenagers for my son.

Also, I might would be commuting to Front Street in Raleigh (down town) and my husband to Fort Bragg so I am looking for commute information.

How far to grocery stores, fast food restaurants, etc. Thanks for your replies!

WCPSS Node 462.2 reports to Middle Creek HS this year and next year. After that. . . . . ?

There is a Harris Teeter and a Food Lion, as well as a number of fast food restaurants, at the corner of Ten-Ten Rd and Highway 401, which is only about 3 miles away.

Middle Creek HS is good, but not great.

If I was going to pay Brighton Forest type money, and I was concerned with High Schools, I would find something in Apex or Holly Springs, and settle for a little less house.

Would a holly springs - Fort Bragg commute be longer than a commute from Brighton Fortest subdivision to Fort Bragg?

thanks for all the feedback!
