I have a basic website for my crawlspace business, but want to implement a really dynamic website. My skills do not exceed what I already have built, so it may be time for a high end web designer.
One thing I would like to do is incorporate educational components via video or any other suggestions an expert may have. The better I can inform potential clients (or those just seeking advice), the easier it will be for them to make the decisions. I just need someone more capable than myself to bring this to life. Shoot me a message if you are a highly capable designer. Thanks! Dave

ps - I posted this in the local side of the forum as I would prefer to use someone local. We can also trade services if interested.

Dave,

WordPress.org just might be the best deal going for what you are trying to do.
And there are a LOT of designers around the area.

I agree. I'd start off and check out wordpress. It doesn't take a lot of tech-savvy to get started and will provide a solid framework if you end up contracting part of the work out to a developer.

I look forward to seeing your videos, Dave.

Whoever you get, make sure they don't junk up your homepage with a bunch of flash and autoplay audiovisual crap. It doesn't work well in some browsers and search engines can't index it. Make sure you have solid keyword focused content on all your pages so you will rank well and people searching for your services can find you.

And whatever you do, no music, unless you have a well-placed button to turn it off.

Definitely. I wouldn't even do it with a turn off button:

Yes, definitely NO MUSIC on the front page lol. I will save the flash/java/etc for deeper pages, but will need one of the two incorporated into what I would like to do.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

We used Vigor Creative(www.vigorcreative.com) to re-design our site, they are local and did a great job.
