My top pick is Far East Pho just off of Capital. I've also tried, in descending order of my enjoyment: Pho Saigon #1 (come's up as Chan's Garden on Google, just off of 440 and New Bern in East Raleigh), 9N9 (in Morrisville), Pho Cali (off Capital), Dalat, and David's Dumpling and Noodle (across from NC State). David's may deserve another try as they had just opened when I got it - and they do other things very well there.

For an upscale pho (with filet strips), try An in Cary. It's on the lunch menu and it is terrific. It's also $13.

Pho Cali is my pick. 9n9 isn't bad but lesser quality.

I'm all about the beef lemongrass vermicelli really.

Yes...a few doors down from the Crystal Palace. I know only of the eye round soup....P32. That's the only thing I ever order from those joints.

Never tried pho but do know there is a vietnamese restaurant in Chapel Hill - right on Franklin Street called Lime & Basil. They are pretty popular.

Saigon Grill in Durham is really good (N. Roxboro Rd.) I love their Bun! Not expensive either!
