Thanks Everyone!!! All this information helps so much. I guess I'm a little nervous about the whole move with my little one. This move will mean I get to stay home with her and she doesn't have to go to daycare anymore...but she has learned so much in her daycare program (she's only 2 and knows her ABCs, can count to 15, will sit and listen, etc.) that I'm wondering if she will lose it all if I don't put her in some type of Pre-K or Pre-School program in NC. But then again, as someone said, I could do a pre-school home school and put her into playgroups for the socialization. Lots to think about...Thanks again!
I think you could easily find a nice 1/2 day preschool for her from 9-12 where she will continue to learn, but also make some new friends. Mom, you may find as well that 1/2 lday ocal preschools are a geat place for you to make some new friends who live close by as well since you are movng to a new place!

Just FYI - the thread was from 2007 and needhalc hasn't posted on city - data since 2008 so you are unlikely to get that specific question answered. You might be better off starting a new thread asking for specific recommendations on what you are looking for with regards to pre-k.
