Does anyone have any thoughts about buying meat from these guys who have a freezer in their pickup bed and sell door to door? I have never bought meat this way nor talked to anyone who has, but common sense says the quality would be suspect. Anybody?

Other than firewood, I have never bought anything from people selling goods door-to-door from the bed of their pick-up truck.

We have had very good luck with the Omaha Steak Company when buying their Sale packages. Just in case you were looking for a conveneint way to buy good meat.

Those guys will sometimes tell you that Omaha Steaks is their sister company and its the same meat, it is not the same by any means lol

My wife suspected something so she told them to come back when I was home, they did and it didn't look good at all IMO.

I bought from one of the companies...I thought it was OMAHA and found out it was OMG! We spent close to $200...opened the first of the steaks and it was horrible. We cooked it, tasted it and just laughed! It was a great investment for a fun night of laughter. We didn't throw it out for months just so everytime we opened the freezer we would laugh and say "that's what we get"! We knew better but did it anyway!!!
