Hi all-we are contemplating a move from MN to Apex/Holly Springs area. Our question-of course we know the winter's will be MUCH better but would love to know about your summer season-average temps., high humidity? Thanks and hopefully we will "meet' in the future.
I think the summers are great here! There is probably a weeks worth of days that are so steamy you just want to stay in with the AC on...but otherwise, we are outside most days. Right now we are a in a cooler period...its been in the high 80's all week with low humidity...and its July! Now a week or 2 ago, it was mid 90's with high humidity. You will get a break from the heat every now and then.
Wow-you are all great. Thank you for the quick responses. Here in MN they thinks it's humid if level reaches 60%-try to tell them that when we lived at NJ shore (33 yrs) they don't have a clue about what humid is. We love the winter temps!!!!!
You should fine the daily weather pattern here is much more stable than in MN. As it does not swing to such extremes in such a short period.
LOL, yes the high humidity in MN,
I just LOVE the weather here. I don't find it too hot or too cold. Yes there is humidity and heat, but I like it Coming from Massachusetts where we have long cold (not nearly as bad as MN) but the winter here is just fantastic It is one of the main reasons we chose to move down here
Autmngal-we are currently in Alexandria,MN-about 100 mi east of Fargo,ND. Beautiful town and so many lakes but the "heart call" of being closer to our kids and g-kids on the east coast is one of our main reasons. Our winters haven't been too snowy in the 2 yrs we've been here but snow-less is better.

Yes, it is quite beautiful up there. My husband lived in MN for ages, and he calls NC home now for a while. His family is still all up there. And they just can't seem to grasp why anyone wants to live in NC.......as we cannot seem to grasp why ya wouldn't...hee hee
shhhhh, please don't use the "S" word, hee hee
unless it's the other "S" word,
And just this year we have been seeing many cars with MN plates around here. So, I am sure you will find NC "not disappointing" if you choose to go for it,
