Hi everyone

I came across this great website about carrboro. I think it will give people a nice overview of the town, the different restaurants, etc that are offered. Maybe will help people who are trying to get a feel for the place.

Carrboro, North Carolina

Leigh

It's a great website. Unfortunately, when I emailed it to my very conservative husband, along with an article link I'd found here, he said "over my dead body". He's already disgusted with the liberalism in MA. Of course, he's not yet set foot in the area so all is not yet lost. And he's open to Chapel Hill.

Uh, NCHomesomeday, I gotta tell you, if your husband hates the liberalism in Massachusetts, he will not be happy in Chapel Hill. Seriously--I lived in Cambridge, and Chapel Hill is even more liberal. Yes, it's possible...

I sure do. Don't know what I would do without it at times.

Well shhhh...let's not tell him 'cause it's between CH and Hillsborough at the moment and though I think I really like the feel and size of Hillsborough, I'm liking the CH schools better.

While CH schools are performing at very high levels, I have often heard complaints of the competitiveness which puts the students under a lot of pressure.

As for Hillsborough vs. CH, if your husband is conservative he would do much better with Hillsborough. As I wrote in another post, it is a very easy, wonderful drive from Hillsborough to Carrboro where you can enjoy what the town of Carrboro has to offer, which is much greater than liberalism. Artists abound, which includes music 2 times weekly on the front lawn of WSM.

I did this back and forth commute for four years and loved the two places. But I must admit I spent more of my time during the daytime hours in Carrboro/Chapel Hill. Still, I loved being a part of the Hillsborough Community.

The two go hand in hand to me.
