Looking forward to hearing how the new school is doing and what you like/don't like about the Alston Ridge Elementary school. I am sure there are a lot of people wondering about it since there is lot more (affordable) real-estate available for buying as well as renting in this school district's area.

Thanks
AA

Academically, we are very happy with the school. The only negative I can think of is the 4th & 5th grade classes are overcrowded (30+ students with no assistant)...and this is because there is no cap on the number of students in 4th/5th grade classes.

Has the decision been made to switch to single track year round next year? Was Alston on the list of schools who had a choice? Would that potentially ease overcrowding? I know Highcroft just made the switch to single track (track 4) for next year.

Yes, Alston Ridge will also be going to track 4, but I'm not sure how that will affect the classroom situation.
