I had the same problem once. It might be bat droppings. They used to make a nest in my attic and "hang" in the open vent on the outside of the house. I used to find droppings all over my back porch.
If I was you, I would call an exterminator, just to be safe.
Whatever is leaving these things behind shows up at night to do their business. They must be somewhat social too seeing as they come right up to our doors where our variety of dogs crosses numerous times a day. The poo is always in an obvious spot or smack dab in the middle of your path!
lol! Did anyone notice poop is not censored anymore? Anyhow. Ok playnice, you have poop showing up at night outside your door. How big is this stuff? Is it from a large frog, or big enough to be from a possum?
*laughing here* I need to go out and I am discussing poop! hahahahaha

LOL...I am sorry but needed to know if anyone had same problem. Now, we do have large frogs that come onto deck at times. That is the only thign my fiance has seen on deck. We do have ducks that are people friendly but never seen them on deck but they do walk right up to you. I have seen snake in yard. Seen mouse under my step but to small for the dropping. Never seen a bat yet. We have rabbits but they have smal pellets and they stay pretty much in the way back of yard. But I am going to call an exterminator because want that mouse out of step anyways.I was hoping the snake would get it. Told my fiance if he sees the snake, not to kill it because they get rid of mice and rats and such. Knock on wood never seen one inside yet. pheeeww.. i dont like mice. I would rather have snake inside..lol.

We use to have mice...then we got Buster and Stripes. Haven't seen one since. Cats are great for small rodents.
1 at least you can see it before your animals eat it or you step in it. 2 carefull cleaning it up [wear disposable gloves.] 3 Can you take it to a vet for ID?
cant get cat cause we have a dog and she dont get along with animals. my neighbor has cat so maybe that cat will get it.
I find the dropping in morning both times that I found them. One time was 2 dropings in one morning and one dropping this morning. I wont touch it..I took the hose and hosed it off deck towards the grass. I am assuming it is a frogs droppings being my fiance has seen a frog on deck. It is a big frog. But it is groce..lol.

Oh no friend, don't be silly with apologizing!!! I did not mean it to sound as if it was your fault in ANYWAY. It was meant totally the opposite way. Just me laughing at myself, And I laughed a little too loud,

I thought about what I was asking and just laughed at my question..lol.. what kind of poop is it?..lol.. never asked that in my life..lol.. i just did not want to groce anyone out with the question but am terrified of what kind of animal gives out such a big poop..lol... I am laughing right along with ya
Not a real good estimator on size but will venture to say our mysterious creature's droppings are generally about a half inch long and as round as a pencil with the white tip sometimes atop and sometimes right next to the pile. We are surrounded by trees so ours could be left from just about anything (but not ducks)!

Maybe we need to create a poop identifier site.... a look-up site for matching critters to their specific droppings....
