You should move to my neighborhood. Actually, it's a pity we haven't found a house yet. You'd love the location of my townhouse. I've got a pond right behind me, easy greenway access that goes up to Lake Crabtree (they allow boats there), and beyond to Umstead Park.

Takes me about 15-20 minutes to get to NCSU, as we aren't far from I-40.

My sister lived in Merrimack for about 6 years, I think you will enjoy the weather here quite a bit more! She had a hard time with the NH weather! I do think you should come and visit the area, get a feel for the areas near the university. I am enclosing a link that talks about downtown raleigh (which is very close to NC State) and it may help you find out about different housing options in that area as well. It might be fun to check out downtown living!

if you're going to make a sweeping generalization about an area of raleigh, it woud likely behoove you to state why you would state that & if it applies to sections of the area or the area in its entirety.
