I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that those cuts and bruises aren't in any way, shape, or form related to the use of meth.

It looks like the guy received a good ole fashioned fanny whoopin most likely at the hand of a friend or relative that found out what he did and beat him senseless for being stupid.
