I don't want to start a new thread about just Lake Forest, but can you tell me more? We're looking for neighborhoods mostly districted to ECHHS and Lake Forest fits this bill. At first glance, the homes seem reasonably priced and similar in makeup to where our home in this town was---a neighborhood of 3 and 4 bed Colonials and Splits, mostly built in the mid 1960's to early 1970's. Most, like ours had been remodeled and/or added on to. Lots were 1/2 to 1.5 acre. Until the demographics of my town started changing, probably in the early 1990's and the huge homes/McMansions were built, my neighborhood was one of the most sought after. And it still is since the homes are reasonably priced for this town (mid 500's to upper 600's--trust me, for this town, that's a not bad!).

Anyway, we loved our neighborhood. It was conveniently located, lots of mature trees, great for kids, etc. I'm so excited to find that there is a similar neighorhood in CH! While we're probably not going to be able to buy a home until sometime in 2009, we certainly hope we can rent one without too much difficulty. Any advice, please post here, or DM me!

I also noticed some 1 and 2 bed condos around which might work well if hubby goes down first with middle son.
