Here's a shot of a fantastic Salmon burger I had at La Farm Bakery in Cary. It was on their seasonal menu which changes, so they no longer serve it. Everything on the menu there is fresh, and spectacular though. The veggie club sandwich is amazing, even if you don't like vegetarian sandwiches.
Last week I was driving all over Raleigh looking for places to live and sightseeing and shopping. I had packed an apple and bagel for lunch, but around 2:00 I got a massive craving.
Stopped at Snoopys on Hillsborough st and got this hot dog. The chili, mustard, onions, slaw were great, but the dog itself was a sorry excuse for meat. It still hit the spot!
I ate it on a bench at the Arboretum while I read the Independent. Weather was perfect. Sublime!
The other pic is of the star of the arboretum that day...a huge rambling yellow rose. It was stunning!
Great additions everyone. Thanks for sharing. Sue - I upload my images to a fee hosting site like photobucket and copy and paste the image tags to city-data. Feel free to DM me if you have any more questions on how to post pics. RDUBiker - feel free to share your homecooked images. I'm sure they are great!
I've posted this before, but it is worht sharing again. Pictured below is a dish I had at Humble Pie in downtown Raleigh. It is Oven Roasted Mahi Mahi with smoked gouda, potato au gratin, roasted red pepper-caper relish.
And this is my first ever taco from Chubby's Tacos in North Raleigh
librarysue, that is a Lady's Banks rose in your picture. They grow well and easily here, but it helps if you trim and train them. Had a beautiful one I planted and trained into the pergola over the deck at our old house. The guy that bought the house told me "hey, I cut that weed that was over the back deck" I said, you mean you cut the rose? He shrugged his shoulders with a look like "why would anyone want a rose on their porch?"!!!!
