I wondered if anyone might know a mechanic in the area that can install a new engine in a GMC Van (2000) without it costing a fortune. Received a quote of 3,100 for engine and 5,300 for labor. Doesn't have to be done right away, was hoping for someone that may do this on the side or at their leisure. Van body in great shape. Don't really want to part it out.

Any suggestions? Thx.

Wayne Oliver - Oliver 's mobile mechanic service is great 333-1312.
I've been using him for years and he is way cheaper than any repair places
Around.
Good luck to you!
