Looking for something to do with my wife and 2 years old this Saturday late afternoon or early evening. It's her Birthday (wife).

Find a baby sitter for the 2yr old and go Starland Vocal band with your wife. You can thank me when Monday.

It is going to be a great weekend to get outside and have some fun. Here are a few local events going on this Saturday/Sunday:
  • On Saturday from 9am-3pm you could hit the dowtown designer market. It is an outdoor market with handmade crafts and jewlery, soaps, ect). Klausie's Pizza truck will be there as well. This is going on in Downtown Raleigh. More Info
  • If you are in North Raleigh you can check out the Crawfish Boil at Antonio's Gourmet Market Saturday from 12-3. They will have live music out on the patio and tons of "Mud Bugs" to eat! Check their facebook page for details. More Info
  • On Saturday in Durham there is the Manatee Mayfair from 3-6pm at the Club Boulevard Humanities Magnet School with carnival games and Food Trucks More Info
  • On Sunday Durham will old an Earth Day Festival in the central park area with bands, food trucks, a mini parade and kids activities. More Info

This. It should be a ton of fun and there will be lots of fun things for your 2 yr old to check out.

Your 2-year-old may be bored with the arts and crafts but will love the playground and possibly the paddle boats on Bond Lake if he/she can stay put in a lap for a little while.

surrounding the Playground there is going to be a bunch of children/family targeted tents to check out, called the Children's Village.

Not sure if 2-year olds appreciate fire trucks, but there is usually one there for kids to sit in. Seemed quite popular last year. :-)
