My wife and I have really been enjoying the wonderful spring weather we are having this year in the Triangle. I've only been here six years, but it seems like in previous years it was much hotter by this point. The slow transition from the cold winter to summer with several weeks of moderate temps (like today only getting into the low 70's in May) is fantastic. It is actually quite cool in the evenings and some mornings. My lawn looks better than ever and I have yet to turn the AC on even once in 2011!
I know it will get hot soon, but these past few weeks have been a nice change of pace from previous years. We may get a few showers, but this weekend looks to be quite nice and I look forward to enjoying the outdoors!
We have been taking advantage of this weather by doing all kinds of yard work. It has been great! The rain has been just right for all the yard work done. Seeded the mostly shade front yard and the grass is coming in great! Planted 60 bushes and plan on doing more this weekend . Built a retaining wall for the slopes in the sunny backyard for a garden.
Allegedly, our average high right now is 76 degrees, but it seems like in many prior years we've been much hotter than that. This is glorious. And free A/C.
it's too cold. i've only gotten to spend 2 weekends in a row at the beach and/or pool. I actually needed a long-sleeve shirt the other night. come on day and night heat!

It'll be here soon enough. I can do without the night heat, though. Ugh.
