I've seen several new houses on the market by Robuck Homes. Can anyone give some perspective about their reputation as a builder (quality, customer service, etc)? Also, any info on their current financial stability?

Thanks!

The only question I can answer for you being a long time resident in Raleigh is that they have been here forever! I consider them one of the handful of core "local" builders, as opposed to the folks who set up business here once they saw the boom going on. I have never heard any bad press on them. I had occasion to have a business dealing with them years ago and was impressed with them.

Robuck Homes has been one of the original custom builders in the Raleigh area since I moved here, back in the '70s!

My office was built by Robuck Homes!

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Robuck Home!

Half the homes in my neighborhood were built by them in the 90s, and they've held up really well.

I would love to own a Robuck home. The new ones I've seen are very well built.

Big Mike - where did you see them?

Scaternum - what neighborhood are you in?

Yes.. where'd you see one of their homes? I've been on their web site, and I realized I've only been in a couple of the developments where they are building. I've seen 2 of their homes out in Churchill Estates (but, I don't care for that neighborhood, even if the houses were very nice). I've also been out to 12 Oaks, but Holly Springs isn't for me.

Never been to Jamison Park... oh... wait.. I have been to Abbington. Nice houses there, too.

Sorry i'm late getting back to these questions... my wife and I were looking at some of the Robuck houses in Brighton Forest. Overall, I'm very impressed by what we've seen, and I'm glad to hear they have a good reputation.

I'm glad I saw this post. I live in a Robuck built home that is 5 years old. My father is a home inspector and inspected it when we bought the home. He has the most credentials of any other inspector in S.C and made a special trip up to inspect our house. He kept saying, "I can't find anything on these guys", "They house was built quality" and so forth. He only found really tiny things to fish for because he couldn't find anything big. Now that we have been here almost 2 years, I can't say that I have found anything that I am not satisfied with. Dad was planning on coming up here and finding something big so we wouldn't buy a lemon. The original builders fixtures could have been nicer, but that was easy to fix and change out with our own choices. The only other thing I would have done differently if I had bought the house brand new was to upgrade the cabinets in the house. They look really nice, but they are about medium in the quality dept...everything else has really impressed me. Also, our heating and cooling bills are way lower than our previous house that was much smaller than this one. I don't think you will be dissapointed to own a Robuck home, it doesn't appear as if they cut any corners. In my dad's words "this is one of the best crawl spaces I've seen." That should tell you a lot.
