Hi everyone. I am wanting to take a little day trip to a water park/recreation area tomorrow. I won't be able to leave until around 11am. I am looking at both Tucker Lake Recreation area and Wet n' Wild. Both are about an hour away so I would arrive around noon.
Wet n' wild closes at 6pm, and Tucker Lake at 7pm. Obviously Wet n' Wild is a little pricier but I can get a corporate rate so not too bad. It also has more rides/things to do. This is for 2 adults just looking for a day of fun. Tucker Lake is cheaper, has beaches to sit on, and an area for picnic lunch.

Anyone been to both that could recommend one over the other? Is Wet n' Wild worth it for a "short" day since I won't be there at opening time?

Thanks!!

To me it really depends on what you're looking for. If you want to relax, chill out, and swim a little then Tucker Lake might be your best bet.

Wet N Wild is more for the waterslides and wavepools. If you're going to be sitting a lot in the lounge chairs, then Wet N Wild isn't worth it. I think you can get a fair bit done in 6 hours, and in this heat you'll be pretty worn out.

I agree with Pica. W'n'W is much more active, and you might find yourself standing in line more than you'd like. But it is good fun/excitement, even with just 6 hours. You'll find the crowds dropping off around 4. However, there seems to be a pretty good chance of storms in the area tomorrow evening, so you might end up with a short day at either spot. I hope not, though!

Tucker Lake. Find a nice quiet spot (good luck) and just relax. Enjoy!
