If you know a young, energetic out of work elementary school teacher who is great with intelligent but young/small children (2.5) please let me know. Our nanny is likely getting a job and although she agreed to stay through August, we may need someone much sooner. DM me if necessary.

We live in the Wakefield area and it would be part time, mostly morning to early afternoon.

Default Found a website for this...

www.Care.com -- it's the Match.com for the frazzled parents and available caregivers set.

The site is very easy to use and could yield a healthy response from just the sort of nanny you're looking for. The service is initially free but if you want to be able to communicate with Mary Poppins -- it'll cost you.

Good luck!

I posted a nanny position on the NCSU job website and got more responses than I can manage from many highly qualified candidates. I have heard you can do the same at Meredith College and they prescreen the candidates for you. Meredith College - Financial Assistance

If you or your neighbors have kids in school, you can also speak to the k-2 (or even older) teachers at the school, asking for TAs or other recent grads they know. It seems there are regular cutbacks at the schools. The only problem is, if the nanny gets an offer of full time teaching work, she/he will sure jump ship on a moment's notice, since those jobs are hard to find.

Yup, we're on there by default, but I figured reaching out here might yield some previously unknown candidates. It doesn't hurt to try.
