North Hills in North Raleigh has live music every Thursday evening from 6-9pm as part of their Midtown Summer Concert Series. As you can see from the tunout tonight they draw quite a crowd. I was impressed by the number of people dancing in front of the stage. Below are a few shots from tonight. You can view the full schedule to see who is playing next week here: Midtown Music Concert Series : Midtown Lowdown (http://www.northhillsraleigh.com/news/3758/ - broken link)

I was getting my hair cut across the street about an hour before you posted that. The stylist was telling me about it... I hadn't even heard of it before. Apparently something I need to check out in a few weeks when I move. Looks like fun!

I was not impressed. I had movie tickets for 7:20 at the theater in North Hills . I had no Idea they did this. We got there around 6:50 and by 7:35 we could not find a parking spot so we just left. It was crazy busy I could not believe how many people were out for this.

^^ Parking can be rough. I was there around 6pm and it was already pretty tight. I'm surprised how many people don't know about the Thursday night music in the summer. I agree that you should avoid the area unless you plan to get to your movie early!

Were there no spots in the decks? I have been there for a movie during one of these and there was still a lot of space in the decks....although not on the upper lot.

As we come from the Lassiter Mill side, we always park in the decks where there is TONS of parking.
