My husband and I are about to buy a home in Willow Springs. I was wondering if anyone lives there and how well they like it ?? We are originally from Garner and love that area however with the price of homes we have decided to move to Willow Springs (the side close to Garner, near 42/50) and just wanted some input.

Ooh-ooh, I'm in the process of closing on a house in Willow Springs too.

Subscribing. I don't hear a lot about the area so anything good or bad I'd appreciate.

Willow Spring is somewhat bigger than what most people tend to think. In my opinion, the area is perfect because it is not Clayton or Garner just kinda tucked away to itself and happy to be there! Flip side, nothing is incorporated so "town" is that ramshackle area just off of 40 that is not at all easy on the eyes.
Where are you buying 98?

I'm buying just off of Rock Service Station at Hwy 42. I don't know a lot about Willow Springs yet, just need to get down there and get myself lost.

We live in Willow Spring, (No "S"), just off of Old Stage in a subdivision called Willow Bluffs. We absolutely love it! Not far from anything really, except Costco. Even that is very workable. Once you get to know your way around, you almost laugh at how you thought, "Everything was so far away". Congrat's on your purchase. Welcome to the area!

I do not believe one could get lost in Willow Spring but good luck trying! The place only has/had the one spring hence the no "s" post before. As our closing attorney told us, "Hope ya did not order your checks yet."

So is there just Willow Spring (part in Wake part in Johnston)? I thought there was Willow Spring (johnston) and Willow Springs (Wake) but thought they were in the same general area.
Just when I thought I sorta figured things out...................

Shoot 3little, now ya got me wondering! I just assumed that it was the same Willow Spring that just happened to span the two counties. It could be that each county had a spring they both named willow at one time...
I would venture to bet that you could ask old timers around these parts and they would not know either. Road signs have it both ways depending on which sign ya see and even the elemntary school which has its name is pluralized!
