The thread title asks if his new position is a conflict of interest. Perhaps and perhaps not. The immediate question might be is he being paid to influence board of eductation policy and decisions?

The thread title was meant to be sarcastic. It's clear this guy is up to something even worse than what anyone imagined, IMO.

Not to steer away from JT, but today I found out that my transfer request was denied. I even appealed. And most interestingly, I requested a transfer FROM the school Ms. Goldman's kid was assigned to and TO the same school she got her kid into--with transportation. I asked for a transfer because I am disabled and need to have my kids closer than 11 miles apart from on another for childcare reasons and other medical and academic reasons.

It never ceases to amaze me how things work at WCPSS, and how these board members manage to do the things they do and wield the power they do, and take appointments like these....heck, get OFFERED appointments like these. I give up!

Seems like WCPSS is back in the 70s - schools about everywhere else in the country have moved way beyond the Wake situation - for instance - all this bussing and school assignment crap - blows my mind - it's like 1978 all over again around here - glad I am in Jo Co.

Yes, things are much simpler in Jo Co. They just spend their time kicking kids out of school for using lip balm and wearing nose rings.

On the Topic of JT. Sounds to me like he landed a job heading up an official Lobby Group that wants to influence public policy state-wide. Is it legit to have a lobbyist on a local school board? I wouldn think not.

I'm glad you've managed to shake him. He's a turd sandwich.

You, otoh, I like.

I've known Del Burns since I was his student assistant in 1984. He's a good guy, truly.

People like Tedesco make me sick.
