We attended an outdoor party this morning. My face is still radiating heat two hours later But I still prefer feeling overly hot to feeling overly cold. Your cold nerves are wrapped together with your pain nerves. Ouch! I'd rather feel discomfort than pain

I agree...I'm also hopeful that as I'm sweating a bit, maybe burning a few extra calories is not a bad thing...at least for me that is.

So even if you were in the typically cooler north east today the weather would be devastating.
Uh rain down here would be nice. Bone dry drought around here and the idiot neighbor is watering the lawn at 3pm and its 102!

Moron!

upstate NY here and it has been a brutal summer by NY standards...we're way below rainfall levels, it's been almost as hot as the south some days and humidity that melts you.

Honestly, aside from dealing with the snow itself, it's a draw for me as to which weather is worse: wind chill or heat index

My glasses fog up a lot here when my wife's in the car and makes me use the A/C.

Mine have glass lenses, but her plastic ones fog too.

Humidity and temperature difference.

Actually...is it a waste of water? I'm no lawn expert, but I'd think that very high temperatures can kill cool season grasses, and watering may help cool off the grass somewhat so that it at least doesn't scorch. I have no idea though.

I know "Bone dry drought" isn't a scientific term, but The Triangle area is only in a Moderate Drought. Yes, 3pm is not the ideal time to be watering.
