My husband used Merrit Marine in Hillsborough to service his Evinrude motor. They diagnosed the problem, and replaced the stator for him. They are fair and stand by their work. Good luck!

Looking for an update on this.. I'm in Raleigh, but need to have a Mercury outboard services. My normal guy is backed up for a month. Just need to have a new water pump impeller installed. Any recommendations on a reliable shop?
