we are planning to move to nc in 2-3 weeks. we checked a few apartments in wakefield plantation, wakeforest and briar creek area and finally decided to go to wakefield plantation. there are 3 apartments in this area. one of them is woodlands. i checked other apartments physically a month back except this one. one apartment doesnt have any apartment for rent till october and the base schools for other apartment is not good. now woodlands is the only choice for me because i want my son to go to wakefield elementary and then middle (before i buy a house). i was checking apartmentratings.com and got very bad reviews abt woodlands.
can anyone give me some idea about the apartment and ppl living there??

Best bet if you have time is to visit the property after office hours and ask some residents what they think of the place.

Also look for litter, derelict vehicles, and unruly children.

I've found that many overpriced apt communities do not deliver value for the rent. Sort apartmentratings by rating for some good ones.

Beware of school assignments. Reassignments are all the time in Wake county.

The superintendent, Dr. Del Burns, is a great educator. He was my son's principal at two schools. It's just beyond Dr. Burns' control since there are just too many students that he has to educate given his allotment of buildings & staff.

What school in that area isn't good? I don't know of any one in Wakefield that is even close to subpar....heck...I don't know of any that are even average.
