Here's what I'll say that has zero to do with employment or job opportunities.

If you wanna move to Cary in a couple of years, post here closer to then. This place changes EVERY year.

I'd suggest renting for a year. I've been here for a year now from Livonia, Michigan, and my family is finally about to come down. We're renting for a year to make sure we like the area we've picked. And, if we don't we can investigate other areas, and not be stuck someplace.

Again some sage advice; so much so that I've quoted it so everyone will read it again.

Renting allows for a local address which should help in attaining employment while at the same time providing a platform from which to investigate all the vastly different communities in and around Raleigh.

I know it's a pain in the arse to move more than once but it's worthwhile when you consider the leverage you may possibly have when negotiating on a job or a house.
