i think they are trying to say that pleated pants are the norm for men in raleigh.

Pretty sure they meant to say what they did. It's just hipster lingo. I guess people in Raleigh aren't good at understanding when someone is talking shirt.

The image that comes to mind is John Edwards! He's the epitome of the Raleigh, North Carolina banker/golfer/went to Broughton/have a summer house on the beach/ good old boy look.

With all the "tech slobbiness" to pick on, they picked the Country Club blue bloods to razz???? From a numbers perspective, that doesn't make sense to me.

Not sure about Raleigh but when I lived in Charlotte I thougt there were alot of Metrosexuals...You would see groups of men in the same uniform...designer jeans,untucked striped shirt and brown or black loafer type shoes. I think they all went shopping together at Banana Republic. Zero individuality!

Even the guy they paired in the picture looks like a country club/John Edwards wanna be, not a "tech slob".
